Lễ Đính Hôn
"Đính Hôn" is a Vietnamese tradition known as the "betrothal ceremony" or "engagement ceremony." It is a significant cultural practice in Vietnam that marks the official engagement of a couple, typically before their wedding. During the tea ceremony, the families of the bride and groom come together to exchange gifts and blessings. This ceremony signifies the commitment of the couple to marry each other, and it is seen as a formal agreement and promise of marriage.
Chris + Katherine
Austin has a vibrant culture, and is home to numerous hidden gems waiting to be explored. On one beautiful afternoon, I had the privilege of photographing Chris and Katherine's tea ceremony.
I've known the couple since we were young. We were all classmates at church, so it was an honor and a privilege to be top of mind when they were looking for a photographer to capture their tea ceremony.
