Downtown Austin is a natural location to celebrate a law school graduation, especially when the subject spent a good chunk of her time at the Texas State Capitol! Jeri and I have been friends and classmates since fifth grade. Over the years, we had many classes together until we eventually went our own ways to separate universities. Now, Jeri is graduating from Oklahoma City University School of Law and I couldn’t be happier for her!
I’m always grateful to be able to take photos for my friends. I consider it to be even more special that the people I know value my photography enough to work with me! Of course, that’s no offense to the clients that find me through their own research – being able to capture special moments for people you’ve known for years just helps me connect even more with whatever event we’re celebrating.
Jeri requested a few locations in Austin that were special to her. The iconic blue door at the University of Texas School of Architecture just happens to be a beautiful, popular spot that she wanted to include. Jeri had previously interned at the State Capitol, so the shots there were to commemorate her time at the Capitol. Of course, how could you forget the law books? When you spend that much money on textbooks and that much time pouring over them, take advantage of every use.
I’m so, so thrilled for Jeri. She’s going to make an amazing lawyer and I can’t wait to see where her law career takes her.
