Capturing the Joy of Parenthood: Maternity Photos for Vi and Jeremy at Brushy Creek Lake Park
There’s something truly magical about documenting the journey into parenthood, and I had the privilege of capturing such a special moment for my dear friends, Vi and Jeremy. Having previously photographed their wedding, it was incredibly heartwarming to be part of their next big chapter together as they awaited the arrival of their little one!
We chose Brushy Creek Lake Park in Cedar Park, TX, for the photoshoot since it was close to their home, and it turned out to be the perfect setting for their maternity session. With its serene lake views, lush greenery, and quiet walking paths, the park provided a peaceful backdrop that highlighted the love and anticipation Vi and Jeremy shared as they prepared for parenthood. Plus, it was bluebonnet season, adding a gorgeous pop of color to our shots and enhancing the beauty of this already stunning location. And of course, we couldn’t forget Cocoa, their adorable dog, who was featured in many of the photos, making this session even more memorable!
The park's tranquil lake, wooded areas, and walking trails created a serene atmosphere that perfectly complemented the tenderness of the moment. The soft, golden light of the April afternoon only added to the natural beauty of the location, creating a calming and intimate feel throughout the session.
One of the highlights of the shoot was the bluebonnet fields in full bloom. These beautiful Texas wildflowers created a breathtaking backdrop for the maternity photos, adding vibrant color and a touch of seasonal charm. The bluebonnets served as a perfect symbol of new beginnings, growth, and the exciting future Vi and Jeremy were about to start together as parents.
Vi and Jeremy were radiating love and excitement during the photoshoot, and it was clear how much this new chapter meant to them. Their connection was palpable as they smiled, laughed, and shared loving moments throughout the session. It was such an honor to photograph them again, this time as parents-to-be.
And of course, Cocoa, their beloved dog, was by their side for much of the session. Cocoa’s playful spirit added a fun and personal touch to the shoot, and it was wonderful to see how much of a part of their family Cocoa already was. It’s always special to include pets in maternity photos, as they’re such an important part of the family dynamic.
Vi looked stunning in her maternity dress, which flowed beautifully as she moved. The soft pastel colors complemented the natural setting perfectly, and the fabric added movement to the photos, creating a sense of grace and anticipation. Jeremy, as always, was the perfect supportive partner, helping to make the session fun and lighthearted. Cocoa was equally photogenic, often posing for the camera, which made for some adorable shots.
